High Speed Tempering
High Speed Tempering or Rapid Tempering - the PYRO way - is a scientific approach to stress relieving and tempering. The Pyromaitre principle utilizes a heat transfer program developed to simulate cycles prior to operation of the PYRO – a theory based on Heisler’s (1948) unsteady-state heat transfer equations for infinite cylinders.
HIGHTEMP through a strategic technology alliance with Pyromaitre, offers High Speed Tempering with the key feature being the use of specialized turbine fans to swiftly transfer heat to the components - dramatically reducing the tempering time to less than 1/5th of the standard cycle time in some cases. High Speed Tempering finds use in applications such as Replacement of standard tempering and Annealing bars in the steel industry.
